Today, the new daily crochet pattern Amigurumi, Isla Doll Free Crochet Pattern, I want to give you some information about this pattern;

Abbreviations:
Rnd1: round 1
st/sts: Stitch/Stitches
sc: single crochet
hdc: half double
crochet
dc: double crochet
trb: treble crochet
slst: slip stitch
inc: crochet 2 single stitches in the same stitch
inc4: crochet 4 single crochet in the same stitch
hdc inc: crochet 2 half double crochet in the same
stitch
dc inc: crochet 2 double crochet in the same stitch
hs1: hair strand 1
FLO: crochet through front loops only
BLO: back loop only
dec: invisible decrease by crocheting 2 sts together
through front loops only

Notes:
This pattern is using US crochet terminology. Work in spiral rounds, do
not slip stitch unless stated. Crochet with tight stitches to make the doll
look nice and neat.  For the doll body, I do yarn under to make x stitch, the stitches will be
neat and nice when stuffing.  For the hair and dress, I do yarn over to make v stitch, it looks softer and
beautiful
Do not stuff too tight. You can use any type of yarn with appropriate crochet hook size to create
different sizes using this pattern.

EARS (make 2)
Rnd 1: 6sc into the MR (6)
Rnd 2: chain 1 and turn, 6sc (6)
Cut the yarn and leave a long tail for sewing

ARMS (make 2)
Rnd 1: 6 sc in the MR (6)
Rnd 2-6: 6sc (6)
Rnd 7: inc, 5 sc (7)
Rnd 8 – 13: 7 sc (7)
If you prefer longer arm, add one more round. Fasten off and cut the yarn
Do not stuff the arm

LEGS (make 2)
Left leg
Using blue color to make the shoes first. Make 5 chain and start on the 2
nd chain from the hook. To avoid the hole of the
sole, I crochet into the back bump (behind loop) of the foundation chain
Rnd 1: inc, 2 sc, inc4, 2 sc, inc 12
Rnd 2: 2 inc, 2 sc, 4 inc, 2 sc, 2 inc 20
Rnd 3: BLO 20 sc 20
Rnd 4: dec, 4 sc, 4 dec, 4 sc, dec 14
Change to the skin color. Stuff as long as you go
Rnd 5: BLO 4 sc, 3 dec, 4 sc, 11

Rnd 6-11: 11 sc. Total 6 rounds 11
Rnd 12: 5 sc, inc, 5 sc 12
Rnd 13-18: 12 sc – total 6 rounds
Fasten off. Stuff the legs because it will be harder to stuff when you crochet longer. Right leg
Make the same as left leg 1 to the end of round 18
Change to the blue color to make the underwear, crochet 5 single crochet
stitches. The last stitch of round 18 should be in the middle of the inside of the
leg. Chain 2 and join with the left leg at the first stitch of the new round. This
is also the beginning of the round. In the next round, we join 2 legs together
Rnd 19: Join 2 legs together as follows: 12 sc on the right leg, 2 sc on the chain, 12 sc on the left leg, 2 sc on the chain. Carefully count the number of stitches because stitch no.1
might be a bit tricky to see, you may forget to count this
stitch.

TIPS: to avoid the opening under the armpit, crochet as
follow: 6sc on the back of the body, 6 sc on the left hand
then one decrease of st n0.7 of the arm and st no.6 of the
back body, then crochet 8 sc on the body front, 6sc on the
right hand then one decrease of st n0.7 of the arm and the
last stitch of body front (st no. 14), 4sc on the body back

Insert the soft wire into the plastic straw and put into the neck to
make the head straight
Tips: Place the plastic straw between the body and the head, 2/3
of the straw in the body and 1/3 in the head. Stuff the body with
fiberfill, do not stuff the neck to avoid the neck being big and
rough
If you use safety eyes, insert the safety eyes between round 9-10
with 6 sts apart. Rnd 17: (7 sc, dec) * 6 times 48

Hair strands: Begin with a foundation chain, start to crochet on the 2nd
chain from the hook and finish by skipping one stitch and slip slitch
into the next stitch. HS 1 -> 4: FLO: chain 9, start on the 2
nd chain from the hook, 8 hdc, skip one
stitch and slip stitch into the next stitch of round 6. HS 5 and 18: chain 33, start on the 2
nd chain from the hook, (hdc, hdc inc) * 3
times, 6 hdc, skip one stitch and slip stitch into the next stitch of round 6. HS 6 ->17: chain 31, start on the 2
nd chain from the hook, (hdc, hdc inc) * 4

FACE:

Embroider the eyelash on the round 9-11 as picture with 8 stitches apart. Firstly, embroider 2 eyelashes, attach the eyes with 6 sts apart, then
embroider the third eyelash as picture. – Embroider the eyebrow on round 12-13 with 3 stitches wide

Sew the nose between round 7-8 with 2 stitches apart by using skin
color yarn and sewing 3 times, then embroider around the nose 6 times

Sew the ears to round 8-11 with 6 stitches apart between the eyes and
the ears. – Use white color yarn to embroider the whites of the eyes. The white part
of the eye should be sewn from the center of the outside of the eye and
embroider 1/3 of the eye. TIPS: To avoid the white go under the eyes, glue the eyes on the face without space for the white to go under or
use transparent glue around the eye where the white is contacted

Use blush powder/acrylic paint to make up the doll’s cheek

HAIR
Using pins to secure the hair strands to the appropriate positions on the head. Firstly, pin the hair wig on the center of the head. Tie the hair strand 19, 20, 21, 22 up high, later place them over strand 1,2,3 to have bouncy bangs
Pins each strand respectively onto the head as picture. Strand 1->4 in the middle of the two eyes. Strand 5 &18 right next to the ears, pull these two strands on the back and
glue

Using hot glue/fabric glue to attach the hair on the head

BOW
Using light blue color yarn
Row 1: Chain 51, start to crochet on the 2
nd chain from the hook: 50sc, chain 1
and turn
Row 2: BLO 23 sc, 4 slst, 23 sc, chain 1 and turn
Rn 3-6: repeat row 2
Cut the yarn and sew two edges together
Ribbon
Row 1: Chain 31, start to crochet on the 2
nd chain from the hook: 30sc, chain 1
and turn
Row 2-4: BLO 30 sc
Fasten off

DRESS
If you are a tight crocheter, please use bigger hook (2.2-2.5mm) for the
dress
Using light blue color yarn
Rnd 1. Chain 22, start on the 2
nd chain from the hook, 21 sc (21). Continue to
crochet as many chains as you need to make a buttonhole – the number of
chains depend on the button size. I make chain 5 to fit my 5mm button, slst
into the 1st chain of chain 5. Rnd 2: 4 sc, {hdc and dc in the same stitch, dc inc, dc and hdc in the same
stitch} (for the first sleeve), 7 sc, {hdc and dc in the same stitch, dc inc, dc and

hdc in the same stitch} (for the 2
nd sleeve), 4 sc (27). Chain 1 and turn
Change to dark blue color
Rnd 3: 3 sc, hdc inc, skip 6 stitches, hdc inc, 5 sc, hdc inc, skip 6 stitches, hdc
inc, 3 sc (19). Chain 1 and turn
Rnd 4: FLO – 19 sc (10). Chain 1 and turn
Rnd 5-6: 19 sc, slip slitch to join the round. Change to medium blue color yarn
Rnd 7 – BLO: Chain 2 (this chain 2 is not counted as a double crochet). dc inc * 19 times (38)
From now on, do not turn your work, work in joined rounds
Rnd 8. Chain 2 (this chain 2 is not counted as a double crochet). (dc, dc inc) * 19 times (57), slip stitch to join
Rnd 9-12: chain 2 (this chain 2 is not counted as a double crochet) 57 dc (57)
Fasten off and weave the end. BACK TO BLO OF ROUND 4: Using dark blue color yarn, insert your hook
from the back of the dress and crochet as follow:
6sc, hdc, 2dc, hdc, sc, slst, sc, hdc, 2 dc, hdc, 6sc

Sew a small button in the back of the dress
