Special Techniques
Changing color seamlessly:
To change colors, wait until you reach the point
where you want the new color to begin, and leave
2 loops on your hook. Then, wrap the new color
around the end of the hook, with about 5 inches
of yarn for a tail. Pull the new yarn through the
loops to start the color.
Running stitch:
Bring your needle through from the backside of
the fabric to the front at your starting point
(1). Go back down a short distance from the first
point to complete a single stitch (2).
Whip stitch:
is a simple sewing stitch in which the needle is
passed in and out of the fabric in a series of
stitches that circle an edge of the fabric.
