ABOUT THIS PATTERN
While making this amigurumi you will work in
continuous rounds, unless told otherwise. Use
stitch maker to mark end of your rounds.
The finished amigurumi should
measure approximately 9 inches tall. Size may
vary, depending on yarn type and personal
yarn tension.
Instructions that need to be repeated will be
marked with brackets followed by the number
of times it needs to be repeated.
Example:

Body
Use Light Green.
The body for Chikorita is worked from the bottom
up. We will start by making a Long chain, then we
will crochet around the chain to form a round. See
images below for guidance. Stuff as you go. It is
important to sculpt and shape the body as you go
so
the body shape comes out correct.

ASSEMBLY
Sew the front feet and the back
feet to the bottom of the body. Using
pins can be very helpful for this step!
Experiment with leg placement so
you can find the best placement for
your Chikorita to be balanced.
Sew the tail onto the rear.
Sew the neck buds around the
neck. See images a. through d. for
guidance. (Top-down view)
To
help keep the neck buds evenly
spaced – –
start with the front and back
then place the left and right
then place the buds in between. -d. photo of final placement.
Craft Felt Eyes (Easiest Method)
Cut out the shapes seen in the photos
from red and white craft felt. Eyes
are approximately 1.5 inches tall and
1
inch wide. Glue them to the front of
the face.
Use your yarn needle and black yarn
to
embroider a mouth.
