Today, the new daily crochet pattern Amigurumi Christmas Toys Free Crochet Pattern, I want to give you some information about this pattern;

TOOLS AND MATERIALS

1. Yarn. I will use yarn YarnArt Jeans 55% cotton 45% polyacrylic, 160 m, 50 g, and also Alize COTTON GOLD 55% cotton 45% acrylic, 330 m, 100 and NAKO PARIS 40% premium acrylic, 60% polyamide, 245 m, 100 g. For finishing we need Alize SOFTY 100% micropolyester, 115 m, 50 g and remnants of various other threads (cotton, semi-cotton, acrylic or whatever you have). You you can use any other threads suitable for thickness.
2. Basis for tying – foam balls (I have 5 cm in diameter). Table balls can be used tennis or any other basis in the form of a ball suitable size.
3. Various decor – beads, bells, buttons, sequins, ribbons, chenille wire (for deer), cabochons, etc.
   You can use any suitable New Year’s decor, at your fingertips.
4. Hook suitable for your threads. I have it 1.75 firm Gamma.
5. Needles of different sizes with a wide eye and with a regular eye sewing threads. And sewing thread or floss in black for embroidery and other colors for sewing on buttons.
6. Felt. Glue (I have “Moment-Crystal”). Monofilament for sequin sewing.
7. Pastel and brushes for toning toys.

SYMBOLS

inc – increase (we knit two single crochets into one loop)

WE KNIT THE BASIS
I want to note right away that all loop calculations are given for a ball with a diameter of 5 cm and yarn with a thickness of approximately 320-330 m per 100 g.
Hook 1.75 mm firm “Gamma”. If you have other sizes warps, hook sizes, yarn, number of rows and loops
may differ. Knit so that the knitted part is not too loose, not dangling on the ball, but not too sat tight, because in the future we will need to hide the ends threads in the gap between the ball and the knitted cover.
We knit the columns for both walls of the loop, if not indicated the opposite.
From the fourth row to get not a hexagon, but an even circle, in rows with increases and decreases, I recommend in at the beginning of the row, knit one offset loop, in the calculations this

   Apply to the ball. When viewed from above, the ball is not must protrude beyond the boundaries of the bound circle or protrude slightly.

   Here are the basics we got:
   1 and 5 we knit entirely from white yarn (Santa Claus and Snow Maiden). Similarly, you can tie the base for the Snowman from smooth yarn. We knit in the first part of the MK.
   2 – the basis for the Mumps (in the first part of the MK).
   3 – the basis of the Softy yarn for the Snowman.

   Break the thread, leaving the end for sewing, a little fill the spout with filler or put a bead inside.
   Cut out eyes from a piece of felt – one detail (shape see the details in the photo), sew the pupils-beads. Sew on with a black sewing thread of the eye to the base, imitating eyelashes, do not
   breaking the thread, embroider the eyebrows. We fix the thread, hide inside.
   Sew on the nose. We embroider a wide smile with one long stitch just under the spout. Toning cheeks.

   Break the thread, leave the end, insert the thread into the needle and, having folded the ear, sew the fold. Sew the ears to the base.

HORNS:
We take one wire, about 30 cm long. We stretch it under several rows of knitted warp between the ears so that.
Each side has equal segments. Then we attach the shape of our horns. I bent the wire according to the diagram in the picture, slightly scrolling the wire around itself. End of wire (segment 8 in the figure) we hide under the base. The second horn is bent into mirror image.

   We tie with a magnificent “crustacean step” (I made 4 yarn overs),

Break the thread, leave the end for sewing.

Sew the cap to the base. The same green thread in a pair stitches sew the tip of the cap, bending it down. On the the cap is sewn on a bell. Sew a string on top ring with a few tight stitches. If you have a lace with
carabiner, you can simply hook on the posts and fasten carabiner clasp. We sew the lace so that the toy does not collapsed and the ball hung straight.

Approximately in the center of our ball we sew a carrot.
With black sewing thread we embroider eyes, eyebrows, eyelashes, smile.
We tint the face of our snowman.
Tie a ribbon at the bottom and tie it into a bow.

DECORATION “PENGUIN”
Let me remind you how we knitted the basis for the Penguin. Begin black or dark blue yarn (12 rows). Next, change the thread on the white and 13th row we knit for the back wall of the loops, the following
rows (14-20) knit for both half loops.

   Pull the thread, fasten, sew the tail only at the top parts on the right and left, leaving the sharp tip free.
   Sew on the ends of the wings.

BEAK (Pekhorka Children’s novelty 100% acrylic high-volume, 200 m, 50 g, hook 1.75), knit in a spiral:

   Leave the end of the thread for sewing, sew, folding in half, in the center of the front of the ball.

PAWS, 2 pcs. (Pekhorka Children’s novelty 100% acrylic high volume, 200 m, 50 g, hook 1.75):
Work 10 dc (single crochet) in magic ring, lock off connecting column in a circle, fold in half, sew in
the bottom of the base between the wings.
For the eyes, cut out small ovals from felt, sew pupil beads, sew or glue eyes on the sides of
beak.
Embroider eyebrows with white thread.
Fasten the string on top. I have with a carbine, I just hooked a few posts with a clasp and fastened a carabiner.
